Environmental statement by Green Bangladesh on World Environment Day

Awareness program on the occasion of World Environment Day 2021 by Sabuj Bangladesh in front of Laxmipur Press Club on Saturday 5th June at 12 noon with the slogan “Safe environment and agriculture will fill the country, we will build green Bangladesh”.

Former Principal of Laxmipur Government College Prof. Main Uddin Pathan was present as the Chief Guest in the presidency of Green Bangladesh President Shaheen Alam, General Secretary of Laxmipur Press Club Md. Abdul Malek, Former General Secretary Md. Saidul Islam Pabel, National Youth were present as special guests. Leadership Forum President AKM Neyamat Ullah Babu, Green Bangladesh Vice President Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury, AKM Mahbubur Rashid Chowdhury, General Secretary Ismail Hossain Babu and others.

The main topics of discussion were environmental pollution in Laxmipur, such as brick kilns, neglect in municipal waste disposal, occupation of canals, erosion of Meghna river, placing of Pestun banner on trees by political leaders which caused damage to trees.

Green Bangladesh distributed and planted 2,000 trees across the country on the occasion of World Environment Day. At the end of the lecture, more than 200 trees were distributed among the pedestrians. And trees are distributed among the members.

Ismail Hossain Babu, General Secretary of Sabuj Bangladesh, said, “On World Environment Day, we are celebrating this day all over the country.” Lakshmipur is celebrating the day centrally. This time we named it Environmental Statement. Because we have carried out the program by standing in front of the press club to talk about the environmental disaster. Only human awareness can save Bangladesh from environmental catastrophe.
