Oxygen plant banal compliment

Pabna District Representative:

Tarif’s father died about a year ago. “It was necessary to give oxygen to the dying father” but the child of the poor house could do nothing for Tarif’s father. But he promised to try to make oxygen at a lower cost. His attempt was successful. Tarif has set up a plant to produce oxygen from the air at low cost.

Taher Mahmud Tarif, son of late Abdus Salam of East Tengri Mahalla (Bakul Mor) of Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna. He is a 10th class student of Government SM (Sara Morwari) Model High School and College, Ishwardi, Pabna.

On Tuesday (June 9) at Ishwardi Upazila Parishad, Tarif was shown making oxygen with his discovered plant. It took him two weeks to build the oxygen production plant and cost only Rs 75,000.

Taher Mahmud Tarif said that he has achieved the success of his research under the supervision of Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and in collaboration with the school authorities. Oxygen production at his discovered plant was successful in laboratory tests. Now he is optimistic about producing huge amounts of oxygen in the country on a large scale at low cost.

Tarif said he had to deal with oxygen problems when his father died more than a year ago. Now the demand for oxygen in coronavirus infections has also increased. With these issues in mind, he embarked on research to produce low-cost oxygen. Praising the process of oxygen production at his plant, he said that air was first introduced into a cylinder through a dynamo. Zeolites have been used to extract air as there are other elements besides oxygen. The means of zeolite is to expel oxygen from the air in one direction and other elements in the other. In just a few weeks he has built this plant at a low cost.

BMA Pabna Secretary. Axad Al Masur Annan said that the normal level of oxygen in the body of a healthy person is 95-100%. If this level is less than 93%, caution is required and if it is less than 92%, oxygen is given as per the doctor’s advice. Some of those whose oxygen level dropped to 90/91 said that it was possible to raise this level to 96-99 with the oxygen produced in his plant. He expressed hope that success would also come in the lab tests of the university.

Upazila Secondary Education Officer Selim Akhter said, “We have all encouraged this work of praise.” Early success has come. Now the lab will be tested. Lab tests will see if there is any other element of air in the oxygen produced in the plant discovered by Tarif.

Ainul Islam, principal of SM (Sara Marwari) Model High School and College, said that Tarif is very talented. Seeing the talent of this poor student, they have been supporting him in various ways since the sixth grade. Although he became more helpless in the death of his father, he did not give up. The mini-plant that produces oxygen at low cost is a big proof of his perseverance.

Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer PM Imrul Kayes said Taher Mahmud Tarif, a Class 10 student of Government SM Model School and College, had set up the plant at low cost keeping in mind the urgent need of oxygen shortage. It can be said that by creating oxygen from the air, everyone is amazed. He has been financially supported to build the plant at low cost. He further said that the Department of Applied Chemistry of Dhaka University, Islamic University and Pabna University of Science and Technology are being contacted for Tarif’s Oxygen Lab test. If the lab tests prove successful, it will be possible to produce large amounts of oxygen at low cost in the country by building large plants on a large scale.
