The housewife was arrested for “raping” the rapist for four years

Police have arrested a scoundrel named Mithun Chandra Mandal (38) for raping a housewife in Naogaon’s Manda for four years. Bakhate is the son of Motilal Mandal of Balakshetra village in Varshon union of Mithun upazila.

He was arrested from his home in a raid on Thursday afternoon. Bakhate Mithun was threatening to spread nude videos on the internet and raping the housewife by taking a signed blank stamp. He was beaten around 10 am on Thursday while trying to return the stamp and video. He was rescued and admitted to Manda Upazila Health Complex.

According to the victim, the accused Mithun became a brother-in-law about the neighbor. Being close neighbors, both families had regular commute. Mithun used to give him bad offers from time to time due to the relationship. At one stage, when no one was at home, Mithun tactfully recorded the video of her rape on her mobile phone. She added that about four years ago, she, along with other women in the neighborhood, became a customer of an insurance company called Delta Life Insurance. Speaking of making insurance papers, Mithun took his signature on two blank stamps. He later threatened to spread the captured video on the internet and raped her against her will by taking her hostage. She kept the matter a secret from her family members, including her husband. Victim’s husband said his wife had been behaving abnormally for a long time. Even if he wanted to know, he would avoid it by showing various excuses. It is advisable to recover the blank stamps and videos when the issues are published recently. When he went to get them back around 10 am on Thursday, Mithun beat him. He demanded exemplary punishment for Bakhate Mithun in the incident.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Manda Police Station Shahinur Rahman said that Bakhate Mithun was arrested after being informed about the matter. Preparations are underway to file a case with the police station.
