RAB-7 has arrested 3 drug dealers including 19,200 pitch yaba in Mirsarai.

In Mirsarai, RAB-7 has arrested three drug dealers including 19,200 pitch yaba and car van. Rapid Action Battalion RAB-6 detained them on Friday (June 11) night from Chaitanyarhat area of ​​Jorarganj police station. The arrested are Mohammad Amzad Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Matin of Maijdi police station in Noakhali district, Mohammad Rafiq, 48, son of late Kabir Ahmed of Pankhali area of ​​Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district and Mohammad Aminul Islam, 24, son of Abdul Hamid of Paharchanda area of ​​the same upazila.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) said. Mahmudul Hasan Mamun said, “Based on secret information, we set up a special check post on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chaitanyarhat area of ​​Jorarganj police station and started searching the vehicles.” When the movement of a covered van approaching the RAB check post seemed suspicious at that time, the RAB members signaled to stop the covered van and the driver tried to escape by crossing the RAB check post without stopping the vehicle. The covered van (Metro-T-18-656) was seized at that time.

He added that the detainees said that they had been collecting drugs from the border areas of Cox’s Bazar district for a long time and later smuggling them to drug dealers in different parts of the country including Dhaka. The value of the recovered drugs is estimated at Tk 56 lakh and the value of the seized covered van is estimated at Tk 1 crore.

The arrested accused and the recovered goods have been handed over to Zorarganj Police Station for further legal action.
