Md. Emon is a professional thief. He is very clever. He has been involved in theft for 12 long years. He steals and stops stealing for a while. Md. Ashrab Khan works in a towel factory in EPZ area. Ashrab Khan are engaged in stealing under the guise of gentlemanly masks. They see the doormen of different buildings in the area where they go and if there is no doorman, he enters the building. While the doorman was still there, the guest entered the building with a packet of chips in his hand. Anyone using an anonymous name goes to the top of the building when the doorman asks. Only those who have locked their doors in the building break the locks and enter the house and steal. They cut the doors of 10/12 houses and took away the valuables including gold ornaments, cash, mobiles, laptops. And he who does not get home goes out of the house and goes to another house. Thus, they are constantly stealing in different areas of Chittagong metropolis including Mathbaria police station in Pirojpur district. Md. Emon and Md. Ashrab Khan steal during the day and in the evening, they never steal at night. When Md. Emon and Md. Ashrab Khan stole any gold ornaments, they sold them in different shops in Hazari Alley under Kotwali Police Station. Many times when he gave it to Md. Ashrab Khan, he sold it to various garment workers at low prices.

Md. Emon kept the money in the bank when he got the cash. He went to the fast track of Dutch Bangla Bank and deposited it to keep it in the bank immediately. The next day his money was deposited in the bank. Later, with the money, he bought expensive mobiles, laptops, headphones, binoculars, air coolers, motorcycles, gold ornaments and other daily necessities from online, said Md. Emon. After stealing Md. Ashrab Khan, if he gets the share money, he spends it on the needs of the family. Md. Emon allowed his wife Shajada Akhter Prakash Sadia (20) and Anika Sultana Prakash Sunny (19) to keep the stolen items at home. They hid the stolen goods in a secret place despite knowing the stolen goods. Md. Emon has been accused of committing about 300-400 thefts in the last 12 years. If there is a house in front of the house where Md. Emon enters to steal, he puts a hook on the door of the house so that no one can get out of the house if he finds out while stealing. Md. Emon and Md. Ashrab Khan stole gold ornaments, cash and valuables from their homes in different areas of Chittagong metropolis. They cut the door hook and entered the house to steal.

Note: Md. Emon has already been arrested in 2007, 2015, 2016 and 2020 for theft at CMP, Port of Chittagong, Halishahar, Sadarghat, Bakalia Police Station. He was released on bail and re-engaged in theft. He said that after the theft, he moved around and bought things with the stolen money and deposited the cash in the bank in his own name.
