Mayor mourns the death of poet Arun Dasgupta

Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj M. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury in a condolence message on the death of eminent poet and journalist Shri Arun Dasgupta said that in his death the biggest bright and oldest lamp of human resources in Chittagong was extinguished.

He was the beacon of political, cultural and social power of the liberation war. Above all, he is a pioneer in the field of non-communal and democratic consciousness. He will always be remembered and admired by us for his unique responsibility as a pious citizen of Chittagong.

In the condolence message, the Mayor expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wished peace to the departed soul of the late Shri Arun Dasgupta.
