Yaba dealer and arrested on warrant

Noakhali District Representative:

Police have arrested a drug dealer along with yaba in Chatkhil, Noakhali.

The arrested Md Khokon (32) is the son of late Ali Azam of Paloyan Bari in Ward 3 of Chatkhil Municipality. Police arrested him from his home in the early hours of Friday (July 18) on a tip-off.

Police recovered 2,010 pieces of yaba from him at that time. According to locals, the arrested Khokon brought yaba from Teknaf and sold it through retailers. Locals further said that on the other hand, the police have arrested Mizanur Rahman (45), a fugitive accused who was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in the raid. He is the son of late Abdur Rab of Dalyu Bepari Bari in West Shoshalia of Parakot Union No. 3 of the upazila. He was arrested from Shoshalia village around 12 midnight on Thursday.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chatkhil Police Station Md Anwarul Islam confirmed the matter. He further said that the arrested accused have been sent to jail through the judicial court showing their arrest.
