Strict lockdown across the country again effective from 23rd July till 12 midnight on 5th August.

State Minister for Public Administration Mohammad Farhad Hossain said that despite the rumors, the period of relaxation of restrictions during Eid is not increasing.

Talking to the media on Wednesday (July 21) around 9:30 pm on the day of Eid, he said that the 14-day ban is starting from July 23.

He added that the ban is not extending the cooling off period. The restrictions will start on the day after Eid and will continue till August 5.

Wishing everyone a happy Eid, Farhad Hossain said that all classes of people have been able to celebrate Eid beautifully as the government has relaxed the restrictions before Eid. You have been able to buy sacrificial animals well in the animal walks. Those who came to Dhaka before Eid will also be able to return home in the next day of Eid in a beautiful environment. After that, the ban will start from July 23.

The state minister for public administration said, “If we abide by the ban for these 14 days, we will be able to break the chain of infection.” For this, everyone has to cooperate. Government restrictions must be obeyed.

The state minister for public administration has advised those who have left Dhaka during Eid to stay at home if they cannot return the day after Eid.

He also said that he had celebrated Eid in Dhaka and all the offices would be closed during the ban. At the end of the restrictions, they should return to Dhaka.

The government has imposed strict restrictions on coronavirus infection from 8 am on July 23 to 12 midnight on August 5.

According to the notification of the Cabinet Division with strict restrictions, all types of public transport including government and private offices and factories will be closed at this time.

Earlier, the government relaxed the restrictions from midnight on July 14 to 8 am on July 23 in the interest of celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Azha after two weeks from July 1, public travel, conducting pre-Eid trade and commerce, socio-economic conditions and economic activities in the country.

However, food and food production / processing mills and transport, storage and processing of sacrificial animal skins will be exempt from restrictions.
In addition, industries that manufacture medicines, oxygen and products required for the prevention of Covid-19 will also be excluded from the scope of the ban.
