Another successful operation of Sitakunda Model Police Station to uncover the murder of a truck driver

Sitakunda Model Police have recovered the weapon used in the shooting death of a truck driver in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong under the direction of OC Abul Kalam Azad and OC (Investigation) Sumon Banik. Police recovered the weapon from a resort under construction on the Fauzdarhat-Bayezid link road in Sitakunda on Sunday (July 25th). Earlier, on July 18, a truck carrying sacrificial cattle from Noakhali to Fauzdarhat-Bayezid junction road area of ​​Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong was attacked by robbers while it was on its way to Bibirhat in Chittagong. The driver killed Abdur Rahman (48). A relative of the truck driver filed a murder case against the unidentified persons at Sitakunda Model Police Station. After the case, the police arrested a man named Nazim and remanded him for 7 days on a court order. After that, the police arrested another person named Liton Talukder (38) in the VO of the information found in Nazim’s statement. On the other hand, RAB-6 Chittagong handed over two persons named Tuhin (23) and Saddam Hossain Bacha (28) to Sitakunda Model Police Station on Sunday (July 25) for their alleged involvement in the incident. Meanwhile, in remand, Nazim admitted that he had handed over the weapon used in the murder to Liton Talukder and Tuhin a few days ago and collected and used the weapon at different times. Later, Liton Talukder, Tuhin and Nazim confessed to using the weapon in various terrorist activities at different times. The arrested accused informed the police that the weapon used in the murder was used in consultation with each other. In the room of the building, old cement bags and shuffling bags were wrapped and buried in the ground. According to the information given by the accused on Sunday (July 25) morning, the police went to the spot and recovered the weapon. Chittagong Additional Superintendent of Police and Sitakunda Circle Ashraful Karim and Fauzdarhat police outpost in-charge Shafiqul Islam were also present.
