Noakhali ASP Shamim Kabir transferred

Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Shamim Kabir has been transferred.

Noakhali District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter on Tuesday (June 22) morning.

He added that Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Shamim Kabir has been transferred to the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). SP Alamgir Hossain also said that it was a regular routine transfer of the police.

According to the District Superintendent of Police’s office, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shamim Kabir has been transferred / posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police to CMP, Chittagong through a letter from the Police Headquarters on Monday (June 21). Besides, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Hatia Circle) Mohammad Golam Farooq has been transferred / posted in RAB as Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Note: Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shamim Kabir was in charge of maintaining law and order in the conflict-ridden situation between the two groups of the Awami League in Kompaniganj, Noakhali. At this time he came to the discussion to play an active role. For the past three months, Basurhat Municipality Mayor Abdul Quader Mirza, younger brother of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, has been demanding the transfer of Noakhali Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shamim Kabir, accusing him of collusion with his opponents. In the ongoing situation, Quader Mirza came on Facebook Live and criticized ASP Shamim Kabir several times. Mohammad Shamim Kabir became the most talked about ASP of Noakhali when there was discussion and criticism in the whole district.
