The baby died after being hit by a pickup van

Dinajpur District Representative:

A child named Kaushik was killed when he was hit by a pickup van at Birganj in Dinajpur. The deceased was identified as Kaushik Roy, 7, son of Niranjan Roy of Komarpur village under Sujalpur union of Shishu upazila. The accident took place at Battala on the Birganj-Pirganj road. According to locals and eyewitnesses, a speeding pickup van pushed on the back of Pirganj road at 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 13, 2021 and fled. Locals rescued the critically injured child Kaushik and took him to the Upazila Health Complex Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared him dead. Afroz Sultana Luna, residential medical officer of the Upazila Health Complex, confirmed the matter and said that the child Kaushik died before he was brought to the hospital.

There is mourning in the area in this regard. Many people rushed to the house of the deceased child to express their condolences to the bereaved family and the joint general secretary of Birganj Upazila Awami League Md. Shamim Firoz Alam expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
