In memory of all the martyrs including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the sad 15th August, under the direction of President of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League Central Executive Parliament Babu Nirmal Ranjan Guha and General Secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu, Chittagong Metropolitan Volunteer League Conference Preparatory Committee 2021 The procession was held on 1 August at 12.01 pm at Chittagong Press Club premises.

Md. Helal Uddin, convener of the reception sub-council of Chittagong Metropolitan Volunteer League Conference Preparatory Committee 2021, presided over the brief meeting after the light procession. Ashish Kumar Singh, Jute and Bantra Affairs Secretary of the Central Volunteer League was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Speakers at the meeting said that the massacre that took place on the black night of August 15, 1975 was the worst massacre in history. He demanded immediate repatriation of the fugitive killers who killed all the martyrs of the family including the father of the nation and executed them. After the procession of light and brief meeting, homage was paid to the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Chittagong Press Club.
